Biomining Collaboration Delivers New Opportunities

The GBA Biomining Focus Area continues to strengthen international collaboration among member institutions.

Researchers from TUM and UQ further expanded existing collaborations (including a successful finding application to the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research – BMBF), while additional partnerships emerged across the Alliance.

A particular highlight was the successful funding application submitted jointly by DTU and UQ, which will support six joint PhD positions and strengthen international researcher exchange.

More recently, a joint PhD project in biomining was also established between Exeter and UQ.
