An institution by society and for society
Founded in 1943 through the vision of Don Eugenio Garza Sada and a group of entrepreneurs, Tecnológico de Monterrey is a private, non-profit institution committed to the quality of higher education in Mexico.
Its work is supported by civil associations made up of leaders from across the country, who meet annually to define strategic goals that guide the institution’s development. The Tec also benefits from the support of the national community, which participates in institutional raffles that help expand scholarship programs and strengthen infrastructure.
With 80 years of history, the Tec remains true to its essence as an autonomous university and looks to the future with a clear 2030 vision: leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship for human flourishing. This strategic approach outlines the priorities for the coming years, grounded in the values that have long distinguished the institution.
To achieve this vision, the Tec drives seven strategic initiatives:
- Attracting top talent
- Sparking Research, innovation and entrepreneurship
- Consolidating the Tec 21 Educational Model
- Ecosystem of Connection, Networking and Learning
- Tec Global
- Environment for Human Flourishing
- Enablers of our Transformation
